daglo Speaker ID: AI Meeting Notes That Know Who Said What

Still replaying the recording to figure out who Speaker 1 and Speaker 2 were, then renaming them one by one before you can share your meeting notes? By the time the names are sorted out, the decisions and action items that actually matter are still waiting.
Speaker ID is a new feature in daglo that remembers the voices of the people in your meetings, recognizes who is talking the next time you transcribe, and adds their names automatically. It launched in October 2026. This guide covers what Speaker ID is, how to use it, and how it changes your meeting notes.
What is Speaker ID? Real names in your meeting notes, automatically

With Speaker ID turned on, new transcripts show each person's real name instead of Speaker 1. Names that daglo recognized by voice come with an AI badge, so you can spot them at a glance.
| Before | With Speaker ID | |
|---|---|---|
| Names in your notes | Speaker 1, Speaker 2 | Real names, like Minji Kim or Jun Park |
| Fixing names | Replay the recording and rename people every meeting | Tell daglo a few times, then it's automatic |
| Sharing with your team | Only after every name is fixed | As soon as the transcript is ready |
It works for meetings in Korean, in English, and in a mix of both. For teams that switch languages mid-meeting, that means one set of notes with the right names, no matter which language each person is speaking.
Why does this matter so much? In most meeting notes, the hardest part to reconstruct later isn't what was said, but who said it. A decision, a promise, or a concern only becomes useful when you know whose it was. Speaker ID keeps that information in place from the very first draft.
How to use Speaker ID: just tell daglo a few times

There's no separate voice recording to set up. Transcribe your meetings as usual and assign a real name to Speaker 1, and daglo starts remembering that voice.
- Record a meeting or upload a recording and transcribe it as usual.
- In the transcript, tap Speaker 1 and change it to the person's real name.
- Assign the same person in a few more meetings. Once daglo knows their voice, it offers to turn on Speaker ID.
- Click Enable, and that person's name is added automatically from your next transcript on.
The more meetings you name someone in, the better daglo recognizes their voice. If you ever want a different name, just change it right in the transcript.
Meetings where Speaker ID shines

Speaker ID pays off most in meetings with people you see often. Once daglo remembers a voice, it keeps recognizing it in the meetings that follow.
- Weekly team meetings: name your teammates for the first few weeks, and after that every recording comes back with names already in place.
- Client meetings: the names of the client contacts you meet regularly stay in the notes, so you can find who asked for what in seconds.
- One-on-ones: even when it's the same two people every time, you never have to guess who said what.
- Study groups and class projects: names are already there when you split up the work, so sharing the plan is faster.
What changes when your notes have names

When names are in your meeting notes, it's clear who agreed to do what. Your notes are ready to send to the team the moment transcription finishes.
- Clear owners for every task: real names stay in the transcript, so no one has to ask who signed up for what.
- Ask Board Chat by name: try questions like "Summarize only what Minji proposed" to focus on one person in the meeting.
- Even better with My Templates: save your favorite summary format in My Templates, and when a recording ends you get notes with names and a summary in your format, together.
You stay in control of saved voices
All the voices daglo remembers are listed in one place under Speaker management. You can turn Speaker ID on or off for each person, and edit or remove names whenever you like.
- Web: Profile icon → Settings → Account → Features → Speaker management
- App: open the Features section in app settings and choose Speaker management
If you delete your account, saved voice information is deleted with it. When you record a meeting, let everyone know in advance and get their consent.
Start naming the people in this week's meetings. After a few times, daglo takes care of the names in every set of notes that follows.
