Meeting Action Items: Let Your Notes Remember Who Owns What

By the daglo team · October 21, 2026

Who owns that task? Your notes remember.

A few days after your weekly meeting, are you still digging through notes and chat threads because someone asked, "Who was doing that again?" When a task is written down but its owner is just "Speaker 2," work gets passed around until someone remembers it right before the deadline.

Meeting action items are the list of tasks decided in a meeting, each with an owner and a due date. Speaker ID in daglo, the first of its kind offered to everyday users in Korea, remembers the voices of the people in your meetings and adds their names to your notes automatically. daglo remembers who said what. This guide shows team leads and PMs how to keep every task's owner clear, meeting after meeting.

Why do action item owners get lost?

In a meeting, "I'll take that" gets said quickly, and whoever is taking notes rarely catches exactly who said it. With Speaker ID on, the name of the person who said it stays right there in the notes.

The difference shows up most in the small moments. A quick "I can look into that" near the end of a meeting is exactly the kind of commitment that slips through the cracks. When it's attached to a name, nobody has to rely on memory to know who said it.

Weekly team meetings: put a name on every task

Meetings with the same teammates every week get the most out of Speaker ID. Name people for the first few weeks, and after that, simply recording the meeting leaves a record of who agreed to do what.

  • What changes: "I'll wrap that up by next week" comes with the speaker's name attached, so no one has to ask who the owner is.
  • How to use it: record the meeting, and when the transcript is ready, share the notes straight to your team channel.
  • Ask Board Chat: "List only the tasks Minji agreed to, with their due dates."

Check-in meetings: pick up last week's commitments

A check-in meeting starts with what everyone promised last week. Keep your meeting notes on the same board, and you can pull up last week's commitments from records that already have names in them.

  • What changes: you can review each person's tasks from last week before the meeting starts, so check-ins get shorter.
  • How to use it: keep each week's meeting notes on one board. Save your usual action item format (task, owner, due date) in My Templates, and when a recording ends you also get a summary in that format.
  • Ask Board Chat: "Summarize the tasks Jun took on in last week's meeting and where each one stands."

Global team meetings that mix Korean and English

Teammates with open laptops taking part in a meeting

When you meet with colleagues abroad, conversations often switch between Korean and English, and that makes notes harder to clean up. Speaker ID works for meetings in Korean, in English, and in a mix of both, so names stay attached no matter which language someone is speaking.

  • Ask Board Chat: "Summarize in English what Seoyeon agreed to take on."

How to set up Speaker ID

There's no separate voice recording to set up. Just transcribe your meetings as usual and tell daglo who's who a few times.

  1. In a transcribed meeting, tap Speaker 1 and change it to the person's real name.
  2. Assign the same person in a few more meetings.
  3. When daglo shows a prompt saying it can now recognize that person's voice, click Enable.
  4. From your next transcript on, that person's name is added automatically with an AI badge.

Once it's set up, there's nothing extra to remember. You run your meetings the way you always do, and the names show up in every new transcript on their own, ready for you to share or ask Board Chat about.

For the full feature overview, see the daglo Speaker ID launch post. You can turn Speaker ID on or off for each person, or remove saved voices, in Speaker management. Name the people in this week's meeting, and from the next set of notes on, daglo keeps track of who owns each task.
