Name Your Recordings by Date and Find Them in Seconds

As your recordings pile up, do you find yourself scrolling through the list because you can't remember what last Tuesday's meeting was called? The record is there, but if it takes too long to find, you stop going back to it.
Board name auto-generation is a feature where AI reads your transcript and gives each board (recording) a title. After hearing from users that date-based names are easier to find, daglo made this feature something you can turn on or off. Turn it off, and your boards are saved with date names like "2026-10-01 Recording," so you can scan your list by date at a glance.

What changed in this update?
You can now choose whether your boards get an AI-written title or a date name. And when you rename a board during recording, the date is pre-filled, so you just add a few words after it.
| Item | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Board name | AI-written title based on content | Choose AI title or date name |
| Date name format | Not available | Date + Recording, e.g. "2026-10-01 Recording" |
| Renaming during recording | Type the name from scratch | Date pre-filled; add to it or replace it |
| Where to set it | None | Settings > Features > Usage settings > AI title generation |
If you like AI titles, nothing changes for you. The default is on, so only turn it off if you prefer date names.
Your feedback became this update

This change started with requests from people who use daglo every day. Those who record meetings and lectures daily told us that a name with the date up front is easier to find than a title summarizing the content.
At daglo, we gather feedback like this and turn it into real features quickly. iPhone script editing, released the same day, also came from users who wanted to fix transcripts right on their phones. If something bothers you or there's a feature you wish we had, let us know anytime. Your voice could shape the next update.
For weekly meetings: see each session by date

If you record the same meeting every week, date names are the easiest way to go. When you need "last week's meeting," you can open it just by looking at the date.
- How to use it: During recording, tap the board name and add "Weekly sync" after the date. You'll get a name like "2026-10-01 Weekly sync."
- Ask Board Chat: "List only the schedule changes compared with last meeting."
It gets even easier with Speaker ID turned on. Speaker ID remembers the voices of the people in your meetings and automatically puts their real names in your next transcript instead of "Speaker 1." daglo is the first in Korea to offer this to every user. Find the meeting by date, open it, and see who said what, names included. Learn more about Speaker ID
For lectures and client calls: add the course or client name

Students and freelancers with lots of client calls can add a course or client name after the date to make records much easier to find. Since the date is already filled in, it only takes a few words.
- How to use it: Stick to one format, like "2026-10-01 Intro to Marketing Week 5" or "2026-10-01 Call with Alex Kim."
- Ask Board Chat: "Summarize what the client asked for and when I should follow up."
How to switch board names to dates

Change one setting, and your next recordings are saved with date names. On mobile, update the app to the latest version first.
- In daglo, go to Settings > Features > Usage settings.
- Turn off "AI title generation."
- From your next recording, boards are saved with date names like "2026-10-01 Recording."
If you rename a board yourself during recording or transcription, your name stays no matter what the setting is. Start naming your recordings by date today, and pull up the one you need in seconds.
